Morehead Pride Scholarship Award

The Morehead Pride Scholarship Award is given to self-identified LGBTQ* students or allies that have outstanding leadership qualities, that are committed to higher education, and those that are actively involved in advocating for and/or enhancing LGBTQ* equality throughout the broader Eastern Kentucky region. Awards are made to LGBTQ* students or allies attending a college or university in Eastern Kentucky and its surrounding areas or high school students in Eastern Kentucky that are actively involved in an LGBTQ* organization in their local community. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding dedication to academics and show promise of serving as a positive role model in the LGBTQ* community. Morehead Pride, Inc. will provide up to three $500 awards of financial support each academic year to offset the cost of educational expenses including, but not limited to, tuition, housing, room and board or books. A minimum of one $500 award will be issued annually.
